Segment your data
Catalogs in Data Platform allow you to segment products based on categories, identifiers (e.g., SKUs), or attributes like brand, color, or price. This organization is useful when setting up Digital Assistants, Visual Configurators, Classifiers, Relations, or Intelligent Search experiences.
Default catalog: "All Products"
By default, Zoovu provides one catalog called "All products", which includes every product in your data project. If your product range is diverse, it's better to create multiple catalogs to keep your product data organized.
Segment your products
Create a new catalog in Data Platform to segment your products.
- Go to the Catalogs tab.
- Click "+ Catalog".
- Name your catalog
- Add rules for catalog: click "Add block" and choose the attributes that define the products you want in the catalog. For example, you might choose the Category: Shoes and the Brand: Nike.
On the right side of the screen, you’ll see a preview of the products that match the rules you’ve set. If the list is too broad, you can add more rules to narrow down the selection (e.g., Price: $50-$100 or Color: Red).
Once you’re satisfied with the product selection, click "Save" to finalize the catalog.
Tips:
- Combine different attributes, such as category, brand, or target audience, to create highly specific catalogs.
- If your product data changes, you can always go back and edit your catalogs to include new products or change the criteria.
