Use attribute groups to optimize prompts

A group helps control which product attributes are included in Zoe's prompt engine. Attribute groups are managed in the Data Platform and can optimize both response times and the quality of results.

When to use attribute groups

Attribute groups are especially useful if your products have many attributes, and you want to exclude some from being processed by the prompt engine. Overly large prompts can cause issues like failed responses for description generation or chat endpoints.

Even if prompt size isn’t an issue, using attribute groups is considered a best practice. They keep your configuration clean and focused, ensuring only essential attributes are used.

Set up a group in Data Platform

  • Go to the Data Platform and select your project.
  • Click the Ontology tab in the left menu.
  • Open the Attribute Groups tab at the top of the page.
  • Click "Create Attribute Group".

Data Platform

  • Enter a name and description for the group.
  • Set the use case to Zoe.
  • Click the Attribute button. From the dropdown menu, choose the attributes you want included in the group. - Check the box next to each attribute.
  • Click Save.

Data Platform

Once attribute groups are set up correctly, Zoe applies them automatically. There's no need for further adjustments in Advisor Studio.

Tips

  • Include only the attributes that are essential for the prompt engine. Unnecessary attributes can clutter the configuration.
  • You can add multiple attributes to a group.
  • There’s no limit to the number of attributes in a group, but we recommend that you keep it concise.
