Preceding flow
A preceding flow allows customers to answer questions that will modify the products shown in the stage or selection summary. Although the customer doesn't see the stage yet, their answers impact what products will be presented.
As the customer answers questions in the preceding flow, the system narrows down the products displayed in the configurator.
By the end of the flow, the top matching product is displayed for each category. If no matching product exists, a placeholder (if defined) will be displayed instead.
Create a configurator with a preceding flow
Step 1: Create a Visual Configurator. Add at least one section for product display. Step 2: Set up the preceding flow. Mark a question as the starting step instead of the configurator itself.
Step 3: Customize with Experience Designer
- Open Experience Designer and choose your advisor.
- Select a theme.
- Modify the theme to suit your needs.
- Click "Save & Apply" to save changes.
- Click on "Preview" to check how the assistant looks.
When a user restarts the configurator (e.g., via a "back to default" button), the preceding flow and configurator fully reset. The restart process clears all selections and recreates the flow steps from scratch.
