MCP
The MCP section in the sidebar lets you configure and test natural-language product queries. MCP uses a configuration ID (configId) to identify the setup, and each configuration generates a unique URL you can open in the browser.
To start using MCP, please contact your Zoovu representative or send a message to the Customer Success Team
Set up an MCP configuration
Open MCP from the sidebar and create a configuration for your project.

You can define basic settings such as:
- Which catalog the system should use
- Language for queries
- Any optional parameters needed for your use case
After saving the configuration, a URL becomes available for preview and testing.
Copy the MCP URL
Each configuration provides a Share or Copy URL option. The URL includes a configId, which identifies the configuration that MCP should load.
- Click the three dot icon to access additional settings.
- Select "Copy MCP server URL".
- To authenticate, use your API key.

Use only the live MCP endpoint in documentation and shared materials: https://mcp.data.zoovu.com
Deprecating older catalog-based URLs
Older URLs that referenced catalogs directly are being phased out. configId-based URLs are the correct format moving forward, so documentation should no longer reference the old catalog view.
Use cases for MCP
MCP interprets the query, maps it to your product data, and returns relevant items based on your configuration. Typical examples include:
Product discovery:
- "Recommend a laptop under $1,500 with a good graphics card."
Compatibility questions:
- "Show me laptop cases compatible with my MacBook Air M4."
Attribute-driven filters:
- "Find a washing machine that is energy efficient and under 60 cm wide."
Usage-based queries:
- "I need a camera for low-light photography."
