Grouped Questions

Grouped Questions allow you to combine multiple related questions into a single page, where users provide several answers in one go. They can be particularly useful for scenarios like asking for product dimensions, preferences, or measurements.

Preconditions

To use Grouped Questions:

  • Assign an Experience Designer theme to your assistant (Grouped Questions are not supported for Legacy or Custom themes).
  • Make sure your Experience Designer theme is using the latest components. Run a component update if necessary.

Step 1: Create questions

  • Select a Digital Assistant in Conversation Studio.
  • Go to the Flow tab.
  • Add questions to your Question Bank. Edit each question individually.
  • Grab the questions from Question Bank and drop them onto the flow canvas.

Once your questions are configured, you are ready to group them.

Step 2: Add Grouped Questions to your Digital Assistant

In the Flow tab, click the "Add: button in the top left corner and select "Grouped Questions".

Select Grouped Questions from the dropdown, and position it anywhere on the canvas. (The box will follow your mouse until you click to place it.)

Adding and removing questions

You can add questions to the Grouped Questions box by dragging them from the canvas into the grouped box.

If the question is in the Question Bank, you'll need to first drag it to the canvas before moving it into the box.

Deleting the Grouped Questions box will not remove the questions. Instead, they will remain on the canvas as individual questions.

Reorder questions

You can easily reorder questions within the box by dragging them to the desired position. Any changes you make will also be reflected in the Question Bank under the Grouped Questions section.

Modify questions

Questions inside the box can be edited just like any other question - in the Question Bank. Select the question you wish to modify, and make the necessary changes.

Grouped questions in Q&A flow

Grouped Questions can be integrated into your assistant's flow just like individual questions. Routes can be added to and from the box.

Your customers can answer Grouped Questions in any order, as there are no internal routes connecting them.

Once all questions are answered, the flow continues to the next question in the assistant.
